It’s Friday again. time for a new FMF post. Missed last week, as I was at the World Impact Summit at Bordeaux, France. Ecological Fair, France-Africa, finding sustainable solutions for the development of the African continent : energy ressources, water, nutrition, power, irrigation, digital networks, education, health, basic rights.

Safari M. my new Congolese friend who showed me the way.
Who knew my name before I opened my mouth. Who saw me for who I was before I uttered my name. Who danced my son and I through the night and imparted wisdom beyond his years. I, his ‘Mama’ , him, ‘mon fils’.
Who quoted Richard the third to me !
‘A horse, a horse, my kingdom for....chocolate !’
No more to say. Tell me your name, and I will tell you who you are !
Tell me who are your friends and I will tell you where you are going from here.

  1. I enjoyed reading your take on the prompt! I love it when we find those people we instantly connect with. Hope you have a good weekend and enjoy the sunshine!

    1. Thank you Lesley.
We had a grand time ! Back to business this week, busy, busy, busy with writing ✍️ a short story for the WEP challenge. Volunteer activities with UNICEF France and Petits Frères des Pauvres (caring for elderly people who are isolated and don’t see anyone all week), our charges get younger every year and seem to get poorer too...
Have a lovely weekend. Cloudy and cool, here in Toulouse, France, after last week’s sweltering sunshine.
Speak with you soon, I hope.

  2. Love the balcony photo - we have a small balcony and this summer it is planted with trailing Bouganvillea and Nasturtiums!

    1. How delightful ! The pictures were taken from the terrace of the room we have every year at the hotel Capri in Sitges. Simply Paradise ! They also have bougainvillea trickling from the wooden awnings around the pool !
Have a very pleasant weekend, Susan and hope to visit your blog shortly.

  3. Love this, Susan! Your poetic voice sings with warmth, joy, and love.

    #1 at FMF this week.

    1. How kind of you Andrew ! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and week too.
I will visit your blog shortly. I don’t think we have connected long have you been posting with Kate ?

    1. Thank you Tbreit. Glad you enjoyed it. May your days be full of promising pictures.
Have a fruitful weekend. It’s cherry picking time again here in Toulouse 🍒. After four kilos from our tree in the Dordogne, mid-May, we will be harvesting far more from this one as we have three weeks to pick the tree bare....with the help of the black birds and jays !
